Why have all human children or all canine children, when you can have some of each and they are remarkaly alike anyway?

Does Nathan bark when people come up to the door too?
no, no barking.
just a string of, "puppy. truck. puppy. truck. what's that? truck. what's that? mommy. mommy. MOMMY. what's that? truck. puppy. truck."
barking might be easier to deal with, actually. at least it doesn't require a response from me.
