Red White and Blue Day
Never one to be outdone, Nathan, like Anneliese, also has developed a love for a good hat.

The church preschool had all the kids dress in red white and blue for a presidents day singalong (naturally?) and this is how my children insisted on showing up.

Ahhh, it looks like Nathan is helping Anneliese with her bookbag. Such a doting big brother!
Sadly, no - that bag is his friend Alex's, left behind at our house a few days earlier during a playdate. Miss Independent would never stand for bag-carrying help anyway. :)
(Also, she doesn't have a bag. Because, you know... bad mommy. She has a lunch though! And the breakfast I didn't make time to feed her at home! That's... something?)
